I didn't get to bond with Adam Finley like his fellow bloggers on AdJab and TV Squad did, but I remember that he was witty and easy to get along with. He predated our AOL deal and sent me a really kind personal note when Jason and I gave out "thank you" bonuses to our bloggers.
Last week he was riding his bike about two blocks away from his apartment in Minneapolis and was killed in an accident with a school bus. The medical examiner had only some keys and an iPod to identify him with and with Apple's help they figured out who he was. The Engadget team got a tip on the story of a blogger whose iPod was used to identify him and they were shocked to learn it was one of our own.
My thoughts are with his family right now and TV Squad is running an all-day tribute to Adam.
It's great to see a bunch of Adam's posts collected with loving commentary from his teammates like his top five never seen on-screen TV characters.
