Proposing at Yankee Stadium

We went to a dozen Yankees games this year and one of them was on our wedding anniversary. I got a message for her on the big announcement board and it was a great day.

This morning Gavin sent me a link to this College Humor proposal prank. It's a longer video than it needs to be, but the couple's reaction is funny. If you skip to the 3-minute mark, you won't miss much.

There's about a 25% chance that we were at this actual game since we had Sunday tickets and a bunch of Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Update: We were at that game. I played the video for Niki and she remembered the guy's distinctive name, Streety Bird. I remembered the scoreboard message about Shelley Duncan being one of three men to hit his first six major league home runs at Yankee Stadium, but figured they might have showed that at more than one game. Unreal!

We were at this game. George had a girlfriend nicknamed "dirty bird" remember? so when I saw that on the board it reminded me of her.

Usually I don't like jokes like this (jokes at the expense of others) but this was too funny.
