Play ball. Or don't. Whatever.

It's that time of the year again when we watch ex-Yankees battle each other for the World Series ring we all thought they'd be winning with the Yankees.

I can't tell you how painful it is to read "Jeff Weaver can wrap it up Friday night at Busch Stadium" after watching him toss opponents home run pitch after home run pitch when he was a Yankee starter. A few years ago we would count the number of games remaining before a game we had tickets for got closer to see if we were going to stuck watching a Jeff Weaver start. Now he's one game away from a World Series win. Fantastic.

I tried to root for Mike's Tigers in this one, reasoning that if they beat my team then it was just their year and they might as well go all the way like the Angels did, but after the Kenny Rogers flap I've gone back to apathy.
