I got a couple of warnings yesterday and this morning that news was breaking about Blogsmith being released for the public.
Why is it that AOL tells
901am.com about it this kind of stuff before they tell me? I hate when they do that.
Maybe it was a Time Warner decision to release Blogsmith and they've already tapped a senior exec from Bristol-Myers Squibb to replace me? I hate when they do that.
And when did it become the
Jason Calacanis designed blogging platform?
At least 901am has the pretty new version of the Blogsmith logo that Jason did.
It looks so imperial.

Blogsmith is hosted only, not downloadable like MT.

We're on the same channel. ;-)
Just like you described, since Blogsmith is a hosted service if we opened it to the public you could have any domain you wanted for your blog, but we'd be hosting it. Just like Blogger or Typepad it's not a download.

Lets hope its a form we can download, independent from aol, not like blogger, where you you have to use their site.

Were on two separate channels here... i meant that we put it on our own website and everything was all locally on that server, whereas blogger, you can have your blog under your own domain, but all blogging must be done at their website.

I guess you can tell that I'm just itching to get my hands on blogsmith... in any way possible.

Feel Free to send us as much information as possible, or you can just send a zip file our way too! :)

Well, I dont see anything special about Blogsmith... Its more like a modified version of Wordpress with some addons...
I'd rather modify Wordpress / Mambo and have it hosted on my server than let somebody else control it... (Personal Opinion)
I doubt they will ever release the code for Blogsmith
