Knocked Up

July 11, 2007 @ 12:15pm

Niki and I got a chance to hit the movies last night and go to our favorite Mexican restaurant kid-free. We chose Knocked Up, even though it was just over two hours long. Much of it was laugh-out-loud funny and although the main story arc was positive, they didn't sugar-coat anything. A couple of the supporting characters were unlovable.

As far as the actors go, Paul Rudd was as good as I've ever seen him. Katherine Heigl who I've never seen before since I don't watch Grey's Anatomy, was adorable. Her sister, played by Leslie Mann, was the star of the show. She was a trip. Kristen Wig, who might soon replace Amy Poehler as my favorite SNLer, had a small role that was perfect for her.

I knew the basic plot going into the movie and I had even seen one really funny scene that they left out of the movie where Ben's roommate Jonah is lamenting that they don't show enough real guy-on-guy sex (NSFW) in movies like Brokeback Mountain.

Since seeing the movie, I've found another deleted scene where Dr. Kuni goes off on the couple (NSFW) as they're about to deliver.

Funny stuff.
