Blog posts which list the funny things kids say are almost always winners. Whether kids actually said them or they were made up stories doesn't usually matter.

On the home page of Netscape the other day, I saw a link to a blog post called "Fun with Harry: Why We Love Children". The Netscape story excerpt read:

A kindergarten pupil told his teacher he'd found a cat, but it was dead. "How do you know that the cat was dead?" she asked her pupil. "Because I ed in its ear and it didn't move," answered the child innocently. "You did WHAT?" the teacher exclaimed in surprise.

The emphasis there is mine. Now I knew that the overly-aggressive profanity filters AOL stuck Netscape with had robbed the text of its meaning, but I couldn't figure out what the original word for "ed" was.

I had to click through and read the original story to find out that the kid said "I pissed in its ear" as in "Psssst!"
