When the Michael Vick dog fighting story first broke, animal activists and dog lovers were the first people to jump on it. People mailed their Michael Vick shirts to the humane society in Atlanta in hopes that Vick's fan wear would get used to clean up after the dogs. T-shirt companies began marketing shirts with pictures of dogs urinating on Vick's Falcons jersey and making Michael Vick #7 chew toys.
It gives a whole new meaning to the term "throwback jerseys".
One dog lover is selling a collection of Michael Vick trading cards that her dogs chewed up on eBay. The highest of her 46 bids is for $1,100 and there are four days left and she promises to do "very good things" with the winning bid's money "hint hint". I don't know what she's hinting at, but it has even spawned a little dog-chewed Michael Vick cards subcategory on eBay.
I'm not sure those dogs understand who they're getting revenge on and it doesn't really do anything for me, but I hope it brings some kind of satisfaction to the auction participants.
