Catching up on my feeds, I saw this funny video video in a post by Denver-based early stage investor Brad Feld. It compares the Lenovo X300 to the MacBook Air. I bought an Air a few months back and when my own (much larger) Thinkpad died at our Philly codejam I switched to my Mac. My whole Apple-happy team was disgusted that my Air had been sitting in my backpack unused all week long.

Now that I've switched to a Mac, I doubt I could go back to Windows as a primary desktop. I use my Air to remote control the headless Windows servers in my house, so I have access to anything I need.

I'm so glad you posted this so that I could get in some cheap shots... So the question is .. Did you wait too long to switch ? How much productivity did you waste with that PC ? And next time EVERYONE around you is preaching that there is better technology .. will you listen ? ;-)

No kidding.

Sometimes I think if I'd switched back to a Mac earlier, I would be another year further along on ComicMix and Crowd Fusion. Then I remember how I had to switch to Gmail first and out of Outlook. That took a while. Then I remember that I had to wrap things up at AOL. That took a while. So I think the timing for this was about right.

I think the X300 with OSX is a better machine than the air, but that's just me.
