I find it funny that TechMeme's top story a few minutes ago was about Google launching a "TechMeme killer". I also enjoyed Sean Percival's post about who's really going to kill TechMeme, mainly because I know Gabe and satire is just funny words wrapped around a crunchy nugget of truth.

What a week for Gabe. One day he's Business Week famous and the next day Google's trying to kill his site.

"After TechCrunch continues to miss payments to Techmeme, the site is unable to go on. The service shuts down, it’s dead pool post on TechCrunch receives over 500 comments, 400 of which are from Gabe."

Hey Brian...Indeed, what a week. And then to cap it, Techmeme kinda did die for 2.5 hours Friday afternoon. Well, it was still online, but the updates died, before they undied.
