I saw an article a few days ago that gave some couple credit for being the first couple to live-tweet their kid's birth back in November. I hate articles like that. We tweeted our daughter's birth a year ago and I'm sure we weren't the first people to do it.
Rereading our tweet recap I am reminded of a bunch of neat things.
First, that my daughter shares her birthday with Al Gore, Christopher Walken and zefrank. Second, that she was born to the theme from The Greatest American Hero. Third, that her March 31 birthday means I will get to tell this joke over and over on April Fool's Day for the rest of her life:
Tried to pull an April Fool's Day prank on Liv this morning. She was all, "I wasn't born yesterday, Daddy" and I was all, "Oh yes you were!"
Ah, parenthood.

There will always be those "first ever" articles around... I've seen the first video clip made with an iPhone, the first music recorded with a Nintendo DS and so on... Sometimes I think many reporters are missing the great news (or maybe they are just bored).
